One of my personal goals this year is to spend more time doing photography and being more creative. I signed up for an events photography workshop back in February. The workshop centered around taking better photos at public events like parades and festivals. The Chinese New Year parade in Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood was used as the subject. The instructor gave the group some ideas on how to approach the event. She wanted us to get out of our comfort zone. Have us try taking pictures different from our usual way. It was a fun time. Even with the crowds, I got some good shots. Here are some of my favorites:
