Before I went back to DC to end my recent New York City trip, I had just enough time to fit in a visit to the Brooklyn Museum. I was expected the museum to be full of Brooklyn’s history, with artifacts from the Revolutionary War and other important historical periods. Instead, I discovered the Brooklyn Museum is an impressive art museum with collections covering everthing from Egyptian art to contemporary photography. They had a temporary exhibit on female Pop Art that was fascinating. It’s an area of Pop Art that has been long overlooked.
