Blown away by glass exhibit at the MFA

I would say the highlight of my recent trip home to Massachusetts was going to see the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. It’s rare when I get blown away by an art exhibit, but this was one of those instances. The name of the exhibit is “Through the Looking Glass” and it’s an apt name for it. When I walked by the amazing pieces of colorful glass art I felt wandered into a pyschedelic wonderland.

The colors were just beautiful:

There was a group of pieces hanging from the ceiling in one room where they all resembled some kind of futuristic creatures from outer space:

The exhibit was crowded as you can see why. It also didn’t hurt that it was the first perfect day weather-wise in almost a month.
