My trip to the Maine wilderness – Part 1

This past Fourth of July I headed to my parents’ camping trailer in Maine rather than deal with DC’s oppressive humidity. It had been close to three years since the last time I visited my parents’ camping trailer in Denmark, Maine. It was an opportunity to get away from the noise of the city and gave me an excuse to bring my new camera along.

I flew into Boston on the morning of July 1st, then took the two-hour plus drive to Maine that afternoon. Given the holiday weekend, the campground where the trailer is located was close to capacity. It was perfect weather when I arrived and lasted the entire weekend.
