I visited the farm of the great American poet, Robert Frost in Derry, New Hampshire over the Labor Day weekend. It’s a simple farmhouse where Frost wrote many of his famous poems. The guided tour was a little long. The tour itself lasted well over 30 minutes. The tour guide provided too much information on Frost’s life in the house. After awhile, I started to tune her out and kept myself busy taking pictures of the rooms.
I liked overall how the pictures I took inside the house came out. For many of the pictures I used the ‘party/indoor’ preset on my Nikon D5000. I have found that this preset works great when shooting indoors. I will try the ‘party/indoor’ preset first, then move on to something else if it doesn’t work.

I liked the light inside the house. It had a nice soft quality, but still provided contrast.
